About Us

The Society was begun in August 2008.

Thursday 24 October 2013

We have launched the new Bonnyseen magazine.

There was a wonderful turnout with all seats filled.
Thanks to everyone who came.

If your article did not appear this time, it will appear in a future issue. We have had such a great response from people sending stories and photos that we simply ran out of space to fit it all in. This shows us that everyone is enjoying the magazine and our time and effort is being rewarded.

Many thanks also go to John Reid, who gave us a talk on the Baronies of Seabegs and Castlecary. (Seabegs being of particular interest to several of our group members!)

Bonnyseen Magazine Lauch

GHS will be launching the new edition of Bonnyseen on

Wednesday 23rd October 2013

Launch night will be in the Community Centre from 7-9pm

There will be a talk by John Reid on Seabegs and Castlecary.

This was the talk we should have had in April, but due to John having lost his voice, the planned talk was changed to a most interesting film, by John, on Kincardine and Tulliallan.

There will be a raffle and an a small exhibition of some of our archive items and photos. (and some 'nibbles')

It will be a pleasant and informative night out and everyone, of any age, is most welcome.

So come and join us. You never know what you might find out.....and you might be able to shed some light on some of the history of Bonnybridge.

Oh......I nearly forgot.......if you can't pick up a magazine (FREE) you can also view them online for FREE. The new magazine will also be on the website (eventually) at www.greenhillhistoricalsociety.org.uk and click on Bonnyseen!

WEB SITE

The website has now been re-launched.

 www.greenhillhistoricalsociety.org.uk

It has taken a bit of time and there is not much, in the way of content, there for now. I cleared everything for the time being, as it was imperative to try and get the Bonnyseen magazines viewable online, and that was my main aim.
I was making sure that bit worked without being hampered by the rest. Now that I know that works, I can now put back the pages.

The next item on the agenda will be the new magazine.

At Last!

Web Site

The website  - www.greenhillhistoricalsociety.org.uk  - might not be viewable for now.
This is due to the site being transferred from one web master to another.

Please be patient whilst this is occuring.

The site is under 're-construction' and some items might not be included
whilst other additional and new items might be.

Thanks to Mike Robinson for all his time and effort in building
and maintaining the website over the past few years.
